By Aim English Raipur/ English सीखने वालों के लिए “Get” एक बहुत ही useful word है क्योंकि इसका meaning situation के हिसाब से बदल जाता है।
“Get” को हम कई अलग-अलग forms में use करते हैं:
- Get – Base form (present)
- Gets – Singular form (he/she/it)
- Got – Past form
- Getting – Continuous form (चल रही क्रिया)
- Gotten – Past participle (कुछ जगह जैसे America में इस्तेमाल होता है)
अब देखते हैं “Get” के 10 सबसे common uses, हर tense के साथ।
1. Get = लेना / प्राप्त करना (To receive or obtain)
I get many messages every day. मैं रोज़ कई संदेश प्राप्त करता हूँ।
She got a letter from her friend. उसे अपने दोस्त से चिट्ठी मिली।
We will get the results tomorrow. हमें परिणाम कल मिलेंगे।
He is getting a new laptop next week. वह अगले हफ्ते नया लैपटॉप ले रहा है।
Do you get any help from them? क्या तुम्हें उनसे कोई मदद मिलती है?
2. Get = पहुँचना (To reach)
They get to school by bus. वे बस से स्कूल पहुँचते हैं।
I got home late last night. मैं कल रात देर से घर पहुँचा।
We will get there soon. हम जल्द ही वहाँ पहुँच जाएंगे।
She is getting to the office right now. वह अभी ऑफिस पहुँच रही है।
Did you get to the meeting on time? क्या तुम मीटिंग में समय पर पहुँचे?
3. Get = खरीदना (To buy)
I get milk from this shop. मैं इस दुकान से दूध लेता हूँ।
He got a new shirt yesterday. उसने कल नई शर्ट खरीदी।
We are getting new furniture. हम नया फर्नीचर खरीद रहे हैं।
She will get a car next year. वह अगले साल कार खरीदेगी।
Can you get some bread for me? क्या तुम मेरे लिए थोड़ा ब्रेड लाओगे?
4. Get = बनना / होना (To become)
It gets cold in December. दिसंबर में ठंड पड़ती है।
He got angry at me. वह मुझसे नाराज़ हो गया।
The room is getting dark. कमरा अंधेरा हो रहा है।
They will get tired after walking so far. इतनी दूर चलने के बाद वे थक जाएंगे।
She gets nervous before exams. वह परीक्षा से पहले घबरा जाती है।
5. Get = लाना (To bring)
Please get me a glass of water. कृपया मेरे लिए एक गिलास पानी लाओ।
He got his books from the classroom. उसने अपनी किताबें कक्षा से लाईं।
We are getting some snacks. हम कुछ नाश्ता ला रहे हैं।
She will get her bag from the car. वह अपना बैग कार से लाएगी।
Did you get my file from the office? क्या तुमने मेरी फाइल ऑफिस से लाई?
6. Get = समझना (To understand)
I get what you mean. मैं समझ गया कि तुम क्या कहना चाहते हो।
He didn’t get the joke. उसे मजाक समझ में नहीं आया।
Are you getting my point? क्या तुम मेरी बात समझ रहे हो?
She got the lesson very easily. उसने पाठ बहुत आसानी से समझ लिया।
You will get it soon if you practice. अगर तुम अभ्यास करोगे तो जल्दी समझ जाओगे।
7. Get = तैयार होना (To prepare oneself)
She is getting ready for school. वह स्कूल के लिए तैयार हो रही है।
I got ready in five minutes. मैं पाँच मिनट में तैयार हो गया।
He gets ready very quickly. वह बहुत जल्दी तैयार हो जाता है।
They were getting ready for the show. वे शो के लिए तैयार हो रहे थे।
We will get ready before 7. हम 7 बजे से पहले तैयार हो जाएंगे।
8. Get = पकड़ना / बीमार होना (To catch / become ill)
He got cold last night. उसे कल रात सर्दी हो गई।
I get tired after running. मैं दौड़ने के बाद थक जाता हूँ।
She is getting better now. वह अब ठीक हो रही है।
We will get sick if we eat that. अगर हम वह खाएँगे तो बीमार हो जाएंगे।
He gets hungry very often. उसे बहुत जल्दी भूख लगती है।
9. Get + Past Participle = Passive form (किसी के द्वारा कुछ होना)
The door got locked. दरवाज़ा बंद हो गया।
Her phone got stolen yesterday. उसका फोन कल चोरी हो गया।
The wall is getting painted. दीवार रंगी जा रही है।
The window will get repaired soon. खिड़की जल्द ठीक हो जाएगी।
My car gets cleaned every Sunday. मेरी कार हर रविवार साफ की जाती है।
10. Get + Object + To + Verb = किसी से कुछ करवाना
I got my car washed. मैंने अपनी गाड़ी धुलवाई।
She gets her hair cut every month. वह हर महीने बाल कटवाती है।
We will get the work done soon. हम काम जल्दी करवाएंगे।
He is getting his bike repaired. वह अपनी बाइक ठीक करवा रहा है।
They got their house painted. उन्होंने अपना घर रंगवाया।
