Introduction
Preposition “ON” English में बहुत common है,
लेकिन students अक्सर confuse हो जाते हैं कि इसे कहाँ use करें।

Use 1: ON for Days and Dates
जब specific day या date की बात हो।
I will meet you on Monday. मैं तुमसे सोमवार को मिलूंगा।
She was born on 5th July. वह 5 जुलाई को पैदा हुई थी।
The exam is on Sunday. परीक्षा रविवार को है।
We have a meeting on 10th March. हमारी मीटिंग 10 मार्च को है।
He came on my birthday. वह मेरे जन्मदिन पर आया।
Use 2: ON for Surface
जब कोई चीज किसी surface के ऊपर हो।
The book is on the table. किताब मेज पर है।
The phone is on the bed. फोन बिस्तर पर है।
There is a picture on the wall. दीवार पर तस्वीर है।
The keys are on the desk. चाबियाँ डेस्क पर हैं।
The cup is on the shelf. कप शेल्फ पर है।
Use 3: ON for Electronic Devices
TV, phone, internet आदि के साथ।
He is on the phone. वह फोन पर है।
I saw it on TV. मैंने इसे टीवी पर देखा।
She is on the internet. वह इंटरनेट पर है।
The meeting is on Zoom. मीटिंग ज़ूम पर है।
The match is on radio. मैच रेडियो पर है।
Use 4: ON for Public Transport
Bus, train, plane जैसे transport के साथ।
He is on the bus. वह बस में है।
She is on the train. वह ट्रेन में है।
They are on the plane. वे विमान में हैं।
I met him on the metro. मैं उससे मेट्रो में मिला।
We were on the ship. हम जहाज में थे।

कुछ fixed expressions में।
He is on duty. वह ड्यूटी पर है।

Depend on = निर्भर होना।
Success depends on hard work. सफलता मेहनत पर निर्भर करती है।
We depend on our parents. हम अपने माता-पिता पर निर्भर हैं।
Everything depends on you. सब कुछ तुम पर निर्भर है।
The result depends on effort. परिणाम प्रयास पर निर्भर करता है।

He has a cap on his head. उसके सिर पर टोपी है।
She has a ring on her finger. उसकी उंगली में अंगूठी है।

Turn on the light. लाइट चालू करो।

He arrived on time. वह समय पर पहुँचा।
The train was on time. ट्रेन समय पर थी।
