Be, Been & Being – All Uses Explained Clearly (With Examples)
Introduction “Be” verb के तीन common forms हैं — be, been और being।Problem यह है कि students इन्हें tense, passive और normal sentences में mix कर देते हैं।इस blog में हम इन्हें use-wise अलग-अलग समझेंगे ताकि confusion पूरी तरह खत्म हो जाए। PART 1: BE – All Uses 1. Be in Future Tense जब बात future की हो, तो be use होता है। Structure:will / shall + be Examples:I will be ready soon. मैं जल्दी तैयार हो जाऊँगा।She will be happy. वह खुश होगी।They will be late. वे देर से होंगे। 2. Be after Modal Verbs Modal verbs (must, should, can, may) के बाद हमेशा be आता है। Examples:You must be careful. तुम्हें सावधान रहना चाहिए।She should be honest. उसे ईमानदार होना चाहिए।He can be wrong. वह गलत हो सकता है। 3. Be in Commands / Instructions Order या request में be आता है। Examples:Be quiet. चुप रहो।Be patient. धैर्य रखो।Please be careful. कृपया सावधान रहो। PART 2: BEEN – All Uses 1. Been in Perfect Tenses जब sentence में has / have / had हो, तो been आता है। Structure:has / have / had + been Examples:I have been busy. मैं व्यस्त रहा हूँ।She has been very kind. वह बहुत दयालु रही है।They had been tired. वे थक चुके थे। 2. Been to (Experience बताने के लिए) कहीं जाकर वापस आने का experience बताने में been to आता है। I have been to Delhi. मैं दिल्ली जा चुका हूँ।She has been to Mumbai. वह मुंबई जा चुकी है। I have been a doctor for ten years. मैं दस साल तक डॉक्टर रहा हूँ।He has been an army officer. वह सेना का अधिकारी रह चुका है। 3. Been in Passive Voice (Perfect) जब passive sentence perfect tense में हो। Examples:The work has been completed. काम पूरा हो चुका है।The thief had been caught. चोर पकड़ा जा चुका था। PART 3: BEING – All Uses 1. Being in Continuous Tense जब कोई behaviour या action चल रहा हो। Structure:is / am / are / was / were + being Examples:He is being rude. वह बदतमीज़ी कर रहा है।She was being careless. वह लापरवाह हो रही थी। 2. Being in Passive Voice (Continuous) जब passive sentence में action चल रहा हो। Examples:The work is being done. काम किया जा रहा है।The road is being repaired. सड़क की मरम्मत हो रही है। 3. Being = Temporary Nature जब कोई behaviour permanent नहीं, temporary हो। Examples:Why are you being so quiet today? आज तुम इतने चुप क्यों हो?He is being silly. वह बेवकूफी कर रहा है। PART 4: No Action / State Sentences कुछ sentences में कोई action नहीं होता, सिर्फ state होती है। ✔ Correct: I am tired.She is happy. ❌ Wrong: I am being tired.She is being happy.
